Just got a passing score back for FAR. I took it about 10 days ago and take Audit in around 1.5 months. Need motivation to start studying again haha went out a few night in celebration.

I almost fell into such temptation. The temptation to relax a little bit when I got my first passing score. When such thought crept up in my mind or I felt somewhat lazy, I'll sign into another71 and read about people who have failed several times because of inadequate preparation. That was enough motivation to not relax or cut corners.

Below is a quote I found online that I saved and read several times when the thought of cutting corners came to my mind-

“Also, just KNOCK IT OUT. Every time I felt lazy about studying, I would remember that STUDYING LESS now RESULTS IN FAILING, which results in studying a LOT MORE later. It's definitely worth your time to study your @$$ off now and not have to spend several more months studying the same stuff again because you didn't work hard enough the first time.”

Hope this helps you! Good luck studying and congrats on your first passing score!!

I'm different from a lot of people, in that I gave myself a couple weeks in between exams to relax. But I was able to get back into studying when I needed to. After my second exam, I took an amazing trip to Italy for 9 days, and then studied when I got back. Yes, it was tough to start up again, but those few weeks in between gave me more motivation in the end. It worked for me! But I know a lot of people give themselves only a day or two in between studying to ‘relax.'

    R - *77*(02/'13)-Becker & NINJA
    A - 71('11); *87*(04/'13)-Becker & NINJA
    F - *76*(08/'13)-Becker & NINJA - "server upgrade" survivor
    B - 60('11); *82*(10/'13) -Becker & NINA

    DONE, DONE, AND DONE.

I find it so much easier to start studying again after a fail than it is after a pass. I guess the only advice I can give is to think about how the sooner you start studying, the sooner you'll be done.

If you've read my Survival Guide – I celebrated for a year after passing FAR (i.e. I didn't study and was lazy) and I lost my credit.

    Don't be me 🙂

I can't relax. I have to push because I will keep looking at the calendar and decide how much time I have to study, Before you know it the 7-8 weeks built in becomes 5 and I start to panic. No relaxing, no celebrating for me until it is ALL passed and waiting for my license. Besides I have given this exam enough money failing and rescheduling and review materials. It's time to recycle the attitude and the laziness and produce some passing scores.

(yes, I am mad at myself as I realize I was only procrastinating all that time I called it studying :-/ )

    It begins with a 75
Been here too long as a cheerleader....ready to pass
