Seemed like the MCQ’s went well – flagged about 5 per section but felt confident overall. Then I got to the SIMS and felt like I was going to puke.. I think I only aced 1 of them, felt like I got 2 others mostly correct, and the rest were just brutal. I had 1.5 hours left for sims, but hadn’t even started 2 of them with 5 minutes to go, so I just went through and plugged in random stuff so I wouldn’t leave anything blank. Anyone else feel like they completely bombed the FAR sims and still passed? I spent 200+ hours studying for this beast with CPAExcel (went through everything twice), and I’m gonna scream if I fail because of some evil sims…

How do you think CPAExcel prepared you? I am doing my retake right now using the Ninja Book/Notes/MCQ and Audio but looking back at my CPAExcel book if needed?

Yes, I have NEVER felt confident about my Sims in any section. I felt like there was an excellent possibility I got 0 – 20% on two of them. Hopefully one of your last two was the pretest. Good luck.

I took FAR on July 3 and felt exactly the same. I felt so confident until the sims. 2 of my sims weren't even covered in Becker, and the others were extremely difficult. I left feeling like I probably got a 50% on all my sims at the very best, maybe even less.. I get my score on the 4th so fingers crossed I passed!

@kyle I felt like it did a good job, at least for the MCQ's. After going through all the lessons, I re-worked all EQ's a second time. For the lessons where I was still < 90%, I re-read the book just for those chapters, since I didn't feel like reading the full 1000 pages a second time… I think most everything you need is either in the book or in the answers to the EQ's – I could've save a Lot of time by skipping the lectures, since they really didn't help me at all.

I am in the same situation. I was feeling confident for my MCQ and got murdered by SIMs.

The only SIM I was confident to get 100% was the research question.

There is one SIM I had no idea how to do any of it, I almost wanted to give up in the middle of the exam…

Also waiting for my score on 8/4. WHY IS 8/4 STILL SO FAR AWAY ???

I feel the same way- I took FAR on the 3rd so I have to wait a total of 31 days.. I don't get why it takes so long! I would pay to have my score within a week and not be wondering..
