So today I took FAR. I’ve been studying for it full-time for the past 10-11 weeks. I’ve reviewed the material 3 times; I use Roger CPA. I felt like the first MC Testlet was super easy, I flew by it. I had expected Testlet 2 and 3 to be significantly harder, but with the exception of 4-5 questions on the last testlet that I didn’t know (I suspect they were pre-test questions), I felt like I got the majority of the questions correct. They didn’t feel all that difficult.
The TBS’s weren’t bad. Luckily, I nailed the research-based one, but a few had some vague directions that made it difficult for me to know exactly how to answer the simulations. I felt like if I knew explicitly what it was asking for, my understanding of the concepts would have sufficed.
My main concern are the testlets; they didn’t seem THAT much more difficult. Is it because I studied a lot? I don’t think I could have bombed the first testlet. Not to brag, or insinuate that I passed or anything. But I was wondering if people had similar experiences or know the same feeling that I had, during and after the test.
Won’t know for sure until results come out. Thanks for taking the time to read!
