So I took FAR today. All in all it didn’t feel that bad, but that makes me worried because my experience and what I usually read is it’s a better sign to feel hard. First multiple choice test let was the hardest, followed by two test lets that didn’t seem too bad. SIMs were average. Two very specific and difficult, but I definitely got the research question right.

I was getting about 65% in the Becker Final exam questions.

Did I pass? 🙂 Can’t wait to find out on the 8th.

If you thought the first testlet was the hardest, I'd imagine it'll be tough to pass. Who knows with these exams though.

I did feel like I did well in the second and third testlet and thought the SIMs went fine. We will see I guess.

how did becker perpare you?

i got a 66% and like a 76% on my two practice exams respectively

Obviously cannot reveal subject material, but Becker prepared me well. Nothing seemed out of left field or barely covered. There are always little things that Becker mentions that you may get a couple questions on, and vice versa when Becker is very detailed and you don't seem much if anything on the topic.

When I walked out, I was confident I passed and there was a LOT of material I didn't know/understand going in. You really can never tell.

i got a 90% on my progess tests- which are different then the 2 pratice exams becker has in its software.

im trending at 77.40 in ninja right now though

Wow, and you still passed with a 83? Nice, seems to most the Becker exam is tougher than the actual exam.

Well, I took FAR yesterday and have since been reading through as many forum posts as possible to re-instill some faith. I figured I would share some thoughts and see if anyone had any comments and/or similar experiences. I should note that I am 3 weeks out from graduating with my bachelor's in accounting; therefore, FAR is my first attempt at the CPA exam. I studied every day for the past 8 weeks ranging from 4-14 hours depending on the day. I was feeling great about the first testlet of M/C, and the second and third testlet seemed significantly harder, which I thought was a good sign; however, I still felt as though I was doing well. I then reached the simulations with an hour and five minutes to spare, and it turned into the worst hour and 5 minutes of my life. I was able to complete 3 of the sims in entirety (and felt/feel good about), but the other 3 were on areas that seemed to be trivial in my preparation or something that I had never seen before. I was putting in J/Es wherever possible hoping for some partial credit. Then, I came home and tried to find the correct answer for the authoritative literature/research question and still could not figure it out. Never once have I had trouble with the AL in my preparation.

I am trying to stay positive, but I don't know if it's possible to pass considering I didn't fill out nearly enough answers in the TBS. Any words of wisdom or similar experiences?

Is the Becker Final Exam a fresh set of questions or a random set of questions already done before?

It is so hard to tell with these exams. I ran out of time on one of them and still passed with a good score. I even started to restudy the section!!

Becker does prepare you well for these exams I admit. If you put in the time and do the homework, you will pass.

@ Dunkin – from what I've experienced, both. I've seen questions in there that I've had on the progress tests and have had a few I haven't seen yet.
