I’m using Becker self study materials. Right now I have 10 weeks allotted to study, but there is availability for me to push up my exam to either 7 weeks (which would be pushing it with 10 chapters) or 9 weeks. If everything goes to plan this should be my last exam and I am getting really antsy and anxious to get this all over with so I can have my free time back.

So just curious, what is your opinion on how many weeks is the perfect amount of time to study for FAR? I am a full-time graduate student so I keep busy, but since my brain is always in study-mode I haven’t had too much of a problem finding time for CPA (just no time for myself). I’m also afraid of getting burnt out.

You'll hear it time and time again. FAR is a beast. If you can honestly commit and stay focused for multiple hours upon hours a day, you can do it. I personally gave myself a decent amount of time because I know about halfway through I always need a day or two to look away from the books.

The question is, do you want to keep the 10 weeks and be more comfortable and confident to pass, or do you want to push it up just to see if you could possibly get it done 3 weeks earlier? If you cut out 3 weeks and unfortunately don't pass, you will have to go right back to it anyway.

If that's your last exam and you're not cutting it close with the 18 month window, take the extra time. Better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it.
