I just need to rant, because I hate how this makes me feel. The feeling that you failed means that you passed? There were questions that out of the leftfield and I did just guess on them. I left one sim nearly blank and I feel so bad about that because I felt that I could answer it, but ran out of time. The clock was counting down past 10 seconds and I was still plugging zeros. Instead, I think I managed to finish the DRS one, which will probably be untested. 🙁 It’s so hard to gauge the difficulty of the testlets too. Second was noticably harder but the third seemed tolerable despite a good chunk of questions that I just legit guessed.

This is my second time taking the FAR exam, and I literally went into this test, trending 84-86 on NINJA (maybe not on gov’t) after going through the ENTIRE thing once. If I don’t pass, I need another test bank, because I’m pretty sure that I’ll do the same with the NINJA testbank, since most of the problems are familiar to me. Will I ever pass this exam? [drowns in self-doubt]

Sounds like my FAR retake. Really hard second testlet, brutal SIMS I was sure that I bombed – wound up with an unexplainable 80. The increase in difficulty is always a good sign. With a 72 last time and high trending score, I bet you have a good hold on the material so if you found the SIMS difficult, most people probably did. I'm sure you did fine, good luck!

Nobody knows for sure, but is the consensus that DRSs are not scored?

I think the pretest questions have a lot to do with the feeling of not passing but actually passing. What I don't understand is how anyone consistently says “I know I failed” but gets 85+ on all 4 sections and passed all 4 in one attempt. Are they that clueless about their performance or just need reassurance/their egos stroked? Back to your performance…lol… if you had at least one difficult testlet and did decent on SIMs, I think you probably did enough to pass.

Keep your chin up. I left FAR feeling totally dejected and had already accepted my fate as a re-tester and ended up passing. And like you, I ran out of time while i was filling in blanks on the last couple SIM's. I didn't feel great about Audit either, and I'm also unsure about BEC which I took last week, but I'll assume I passed until/unless I hear otherwise.

I hope your trending score of 84-86 carry over to the exam.
    Good luck on passing!
