I sat FAR yesterday (May 12th) and was so frustrated not with the exam but with Prometric. I took tests before at 1 Penn Plaza on the 17th floor and never had any issue. For lack of space i booked FAR also at Penn Plaza on the 15th floor. Well that was a mistake. First my computer shut down twice, once just before the test started and the second time 5 questions into the first testlet. So both times they took me outside and i asked for another computer. This did not affect the time left but it is a little annoying when you are in a state of mind just trying to get in the zone. But this was not so bad as i managed to keep calm. But the worst thing was, the room i was in had a very lousy generator. I first i thought it was the A.C., but one of the staff informed me that it was actually a generator. Can you imagine taking an exam and not be able to “hear” yourself think, let alone concentrate. Because i had to concentrate so much through the M.C. I left only 1h25min for the SIM. The first 10 minutes of the SIM was again trying to get over the noise and concentrate on what the questions were asking. So it really left me only 1:15 for the SIMs which is really not enough. I did one research quickly and can’t remember seeing another research question (are there always 2 research TBS). The other TBS well, i did not think they were particularly hard but the layout of the tables and what they were really asking was an educated guest for some. I think there’s 2 SIMs i feel ok about, 1 kind of ok. So 4 SIMs where it’s all a crapshoot. I have a feeling i might have to retake this one, not for the lack of effort. As anyone thought they failed with the SIMS by missing some and answering some barely and passed?
