I just got my score report for FAR.

It said that I scored a 74 because my sims were WEAK and my M/C was STRONG.

How can I study for the sims??

    Any suggestions will help.

    1. do all the SIMs that your course provider has (Becker or else).

    2. when you re-study, remember to study for EVERYTHING. Your new test will be vastly different. It will cover topic that weren't tested on your first test. Just don't be the guy who assumes he needs to study just for 1 more point – you need to get all 75 points next time.

    3. you're very close. if you put in the same level of effort, next time a passing grade is in your pocket.

    AUD - passed
    REG - passed
    BEC - passed
    FAR - passed

I recommend you to grab a piece of paper and think hard to remember what sims you got, then identify what your problems are with those sims. There could be multiple reasons for scoring weak on sims such as not understanding well the concepts, not understanding some specific transactions, or maybe not enough practice with JEs. Once you know what went wrong, then you can improve on that and knock FAR out of the park next time. IMHO, practicing all the sims might be time consuming and might not always help.

For every MCQ you do, do journal entries or THINK of the journal entry that goes with the problem. By the end of it, you know exactly how to retire equipment and capitalize it.

You prob will NOT get the SIMs, I certainly didn't. But keep practicing SIMs for every chapter and understand why and how you got it wrong. FAR is about understanding the material, it'll be easier than memorizing the VAST amount of material for that test.

    Good luck!

If you memorize a lot of facts that helps with multiple-choice questions. Simulations are more about applying the facts in context. The new tests coming out in 2017 will be heavier wighted to application than memorizing.
