I used Roger for FAR and am now a week out from taking my exam. I finished all 31 sections with multiple choice questions and videos with taking notes along the way. Does anyone have any recommendations for how to study over these last 8 days? I am worried about how much I have forgotten given that I started studying this material in early April.

My advise to you is practice more the SIMS. MCQ's only will not be enough to past the exam. Sims can be time consuming and difficult, but if you understand the SIMS, you are more likely to do well on the MCQ's. My final advise is to read or skim through each chapter and then try to summarized (with the book closed) in your own words without having to memorized word for word. Its like teaching yourself what you've learned from that chapter. Afterward, you might want to do more practice problems for each chapters while referring back to the book on questions you are stomped on. An effective method for me is putting myself in a “teacher” and “student” setting, where I pretend to give a lecture, then pretend to be a “student” by asking questions like “why, how, where…etc”. hope this make sense. Again, everyone has there own approach to studying effectively. If what you're doing is best for you, you might not want to follow others. Hope this helps!

For the final week i would suggest just hammering tons of MCQs, and reading flashcards that you made yourself if you did. I do up to 300 MCQs, and if i get any questions wrong, i will write the concept down on a flashcard and review all the flashcards at the end of the day. Rinse and repeat till test day.

Cumulative MCQs, shoot for 100 a day.
Flip through the text book looking for charts, bolded words and mnemonics. (I flagged various pages with recycled SIGN HERE stickers from work.)
AICPA sample test at least twice.
I had 10 days for review. Checked out the SIMs a bit, but focused mostly on MCQs. The cumulative review to refresh your memory on the early chapters is absolutely necessary.
Mock exams in Roger are a waste of time due to the way they score the SIMs. Instead focus on doing a few 33 MCQ quizlets to get a feel for your timing. Remember some questions with take longer than others, but really shoot for that 45 minutes per MCQ testlet.
