Has anyone that has taken the new version of FAR had experiences with some of the SIMS wanting you to leave a cell/line blank if an adjustment is not needed? I had zeros put in these spaces but re-read the instructions for it to say “if a line item does not need an adjustment, do not put anything in the cell”.. I found this strange as I thought everything needed at least a zero in it to count as answered. Any input?

Not true. It all depends on the sim. That is why is is important to read the instruction before you do anything. If it says to leave it blank, then leave it blank. If it says add zeros then add zeros. The computer will know if you left it blank and will give you credit for leaving it blank.

Yes I just took FAR and for example I had a sim that told me leave the answers BLANK if unused or zero, and another sim that told me to input “0” if unused or zero. This was in the same section! Threw me off for a little bit, but that's what I read…

Thanks for your input everyone- I did end up leaving the spaces blank that I would have normally put a zero in. Glad someone else had the same instructions so I don't feel like I'm making it all up in my head! Haha this exam will do some crazy things to ya!

Glad someone posted about this. On my exam I took 5/22/17, there were multiple SIMS where I read to leave cells blank if an adjustment is not needed. There were many cells that an adjustment was not needed. None of my SIMS did I put 0's in to fill in the cells.

oh great. I read that too- but still put in zeros because on NINJA sims and CPAWiley you get marked down if not. ahhhh. I guess they are also testing us on our reading skills.

Peter Olinto keeps saying “Watch the date.”, not your date as in going on a date, but the dates in most periods covered.
Dates get me most of the time. Whew!
