Hi guys! I am finally home! Prometric today took 45 minutes to sit me for my exam. I had never waited that long and it was a little annoying, especially since I was racing to get there on time. There were people that had been waiting for an hour…something about the CPA exams not launching. I just tried my best to ignore that, remain calm and make conversation with the other test takers in the waiting area, who looked like they could use something to distract them. Exchanging war stories for a bit made the wait seem faster. Literally right before I was called in I felt one of my migraines creeping in, which seriously took away from the fun testing experience. Bummer.

As far as the actual exam, the whole plan of leaving 2 hours for the sims was a total and complete failure. I took one entire hour on the first testlet and I was racing after that. Nothing seemed out of left field, which is a good thing, but at the same time I had to guess on quite a few, so I have no idea how I did. Took a break after testlet 2 with 2 hours left. When it was time for the SIMS I had only 1 hour and 14 minutes left. 15-20 more minutes would have been great to help me research the answers I didn’t know. I had to right-out guess on a couple of parts here and there.

All in all, it was as awful as a FAR exam will go, but I think my materials prepared me well for it. If I fail it’s because I did not review enough, and I know that. Will be ecstatic if I pass but won’t be surprised if I fail.

*This is my 2nd attempt at the CPA exam. For all of you who have failed this exam many times, given up on it, or taken a break like me, remember that it is still possible to finish what you started...failure is the opportunity to begin again more intelligently šŸ™‚

Twins–My worst nightmare as a mom. I guess if I had twins first and didn't know any better it would have been okay, but having the first two in diapers at the same time for 10 months before the oldest was potty trained and the second two have both been in diapers at the same time for the last 14 months…my wallet cringes at the thought of twins. šŸ™‚

@teetee that is too cool that you are also a twin. We are “identical”, you?

And I am definitely thinking I don't want twins myself. Was just having this conversation the other day…there are some upsides to being a twin but also downsides. Teetee, I started reading this book and can relate to it so much, highly recommend:

I am the oldest by 8 minutes! I love being the oldest. She hates it because I act sometimes like she's my little sister, although I admit it's a bit ridiculous. She's dying for me to have babies so she can babysit.
