I left two sims blank on the new FAR exam.
I’ve taken FAR before, and each time I scored close to a 75, with a “Stronger” in MC and a “Weaker” in Sims. I know SIMS is what is causing me to fail. It’s the vast amount of information and how little time I feel I have to process it. Sometimes the questions itself are unclear to me. In either case, I guess I’m asking this question not for advice of how to do better on SIMS but if you think I even have a remote chance of passing. I know the test is 50/50 now, so curious if maybe anyone had similar experiences with the new test or prior tests. Thanks!

I've seen a lot of people say they left a sim blank or randomly guessed/plugged in numbers on a sim or two because they had no idea what it was asking. Seems like its possible if you did really well on everything else!

I took new FAR exam yesterday and had trouble with some of the SIMS as well. They had a ton of documents, and it was tough to stay organized. MCQ, on the other hand, were a lot easier than the WileyCPA ones. Good luck though! I'm sure everyone is going crazy over the score release date.

I took the exam in Q2 an didn't leave any sims blank but I definitely completely guessed on several sims. I also thought the MCQ were relatively easy but got harder in the second testlet. I honestly feel like I failed just because of the sims being ridiculously long. ALL of my sims had client supporting documents!Anyone else feel the same way?

I'm curious how much time you left for simulations after you were done with the MCQ's?

Okay, I'm glad I'm not the only one who felt they had to guess on some of the SIMS. I agree that the MCQ's were very reasonable but I feel like the SIMS killed me. I took it in early May and am anxiously waiting my score release in August. It's horrible not knowing. Good luck to you, you're definitely not alone!
