I definitely did not spend enough time working various simulations. It also seemed that the 3rd testlet was extremely difficult.

    @jasonrobbins

I'm not so sure she/he can answer that. We have to be really careful about disclosing things on the test. It's just best to avoid gray areas.

    AUD - 10/21/16 (75----07/2010 expired)
    FAR - 10/28/16
    BEC - 11/2016
    REG - 01/2017

Using Gleim CPA Review, Ninja Audio, Ninja Book

I think he can, it's similar to what people post in FAR experience section.

    AUD- 97 1x
    REG- 81 1x
    BEC- 79 1x
    FAR- 88 1x

    DONE!

    10/1/12 to 2/28/14

I took yesterday. For me, my MCQs were brutal from beginning to end. My last testlet was mediuam a little better. The questions were very long. I am hoping I did better.

Sims were managable. I will encourage you all who still have to write to look at aicpa released questions..SIMs there were very similar on my exam. I did look at 2009 via 2013. I also used becker and wiley for studies.

@Joyandrea and msd7 hope we all make it and be happy come March 7th

You can say there was a spreadsheet on a sim, or that there were JE's on a sim. What you cannot say is what they were asking you to do. I edited one post because it was a little close to the line, probably not over it, but too close for comfort. I don't want to see anyone lose a license before they get it!

And for the record, I left 2 sims completely blank on my first FAR pass. I got a 76. On my last test, I answered something on every one. Some I knew, some were educated guesses, and some I pulled out of my…, well, I put an answer where they wanted one. I got an 85.

There is always hope until you see the score. It's done and you can't change it now, so enjoy the rest of your weekend.

    Hi KRina,

I had an experience like yours. I got back a couple hours ago from my test….I am in tears. There were 4 questions I should have known but had a hard time remembering and 2 sims I should have known but was weak on. Left one SIM blank (put 0's in).

I've taken FAR once before and this time it was SO much harder and different than before. If I had my last test with my preparation this time I think I would have passed, but this was crazy. Since the first testlet is a ‘medium' for everyone, I knew I was toast. EVERY question was really long and computational. Hard and tricky computational. I was shocked. I thought to myself “there will be conceptual ones after this”. Never happened. All the testlets seemed the same– ridiculously long, computational, one off detailed rule or exception, hard, and tricky. I have never had to ask for more scratch paper(whiteboard things) and I'd always been good on time in other exams including my 1st FAR attempt. But I needed more scratch pads after testlet two and was practically guessing on the third testlet because all were long computations and I was getting down to only 1 hour for SIMS….really really bad. If I have to take this again I hope it will be the last.

    Good luck to you all

@ Cricket, i totally get it. If this was my first exam, I would definitely pass this time around.

lets pray and hpe we succeeded. This is my last section and Iam going to go on the leap and start studying for Ethics so I don't think a lot.. taking my mind off till March 7th.

My sims had about 3 spreadsheets and my research question was ridiculously hard. it took me quite sometime to find it. Hopefully I get partial credit for that…

I am trying to find the link to the 2011 AICPA questions but I am only finding the sims. Does anyone have the link that they can share?
