Well since everyone is still checking this thread……I have a question for all of you 🙂

I just have the Financial Instruments and IFRS vs. GAAP lectures left (about 90 minutes worth of material). So I'm trying to figure out where I should start my MCQ. I did stop along the way of lecture viewing to firm up my understanding of bonds, deferred taxes, revenue recognition, and inventory (because the lectures seemed very choppy to me). Would you guys (and girls) recommend me starting with Government and NFP or the cost/equity methods or something else? My initial thought was to leave Government and NFP closer to exam date so that the material is fresh in my mind but also because by then I *should* have an idea of what's going on and be able to use that knowledge. Just curious to hear your experience and opinions.

Oh yeah and “Where is PeeTree”. Remember the movie, the Land Before Time? There was a dinosaur in the movie called Petrie (the little one on the right):

Hey @Will it ever end – Peetree's old avatar was of The Land Before Time character, I'm pretty sure that's where he got it username. I posted a pic of Petrie and Littlefoot earlier 🙂 only the pic you posted is of Littlefoot and Dukky, I swear I don't remember this from when I was kid! My daughter and have the movie and some dvd's of the series, lol.

As for your question. I would do as you have done so far. Like a review of the major topics ” bonds, deferred taxes, revenue recognition, and inventory ” maybe add pensions and consolidations. Make sure you have a solid understanding of those. Then, closer to exam day do a review of Gov't, NFP, IFRS, and basic concepts. If you look back to the pages of our study group you can see the areas we were outlining in our final week or so before the exam. That plan seemed to work out well for most of us 🙂

Make sure you are going through all of the material in it's entirety once AND going back to review it a second time.

As you are doing, and redoing MCQ and SIMS… rewrite your notes. Do not cut that corner, I really think it's what will put anyone over the top on exam day.

I can't believe I confused the characters :'(

This was my favorite movie growing up. I even had my 5th birthday party (at the local Pizza Hut) with a Land Before Time theme. Ughhhhhh FAIL.

At least you figured out what I meant, MCLKT 😀 and thanks for the studying tips! Sadly, I'm excited for the MCQ because these lectures were killer!!!!

Let's do it. How many chapter you have to cover (per your REG review)?

I'm on Becker R-2 out of total 8 chapters. Current speed is 1 chapter including F/C per week given my other responsibilities.

At this speed, we both should clear by the 1st of August, if not earlier. You probably will be sipping bubbly much earlier like a month early!

At any rate, i want to see some summer without studying!

My REG is split into 15 sections. All topics should be done by April 7 then I will start rewriting my notes.

I have a tax practice exam on my calendar for April 14 and Bus Law practice exam on April 21.

Full length practice on April 28.

Then 2 weeks in May for nothing by MCQ, SIMS, MCQ, SIMS, rinse and repeat 🙂
