Hello, once NASBA posts your score on the CPA Exam, do they automatically forward your score to the State Accountancy Board that you are being licensed? Is there any action that we must take or is that already handled?

    Thank you.

Yes, they automatically send them to your State Board.

I'm in Texas and they receive and then ratify the scores. This always happens the day after they post on NASBA website.

It might vary by state – NASBA sends scores to my state board, but only after all four are passed, and they are sent once quarterly I think. I happened to finish mine toward the end of the quarter so it only took a few weeks, but I think another candidate had to wait longer for scores to be sent.

If you are sending in your license application, you could always include a printout from the NASBA website as proof of passing. It's not as official, but it might help speed things along if need be. 🙂
