I am going to take Far by the end of this week and due to some schedule conflicts, I have to schedule to take the test at 8 a.m. Before, I only scheduled to take the test at 12 or 12:30. I am wondering if anyone has experience taking exam this early and do you think it is doable?

I am wondering even though I signed up at 8 am. Is it possible that I arrive test center after 8 am or should I be there before 8?

Get there before 8. I'd recommend arriving about 30-45 minutes before 8 so you have time to get checked in and relax before the test. You don't wanna be rushing frantically to the test center, that'll wreck your nerves and destroy your focus.

I took BEC (my first ever CPA exam) at 8am. I drank so much coffee to wake up I almost pissed my pants during the written simulations.

Haha, I planned to have Starbuck espresso shot before the exam to stay awake but from your experience, I guess I won't ;))

I think it says on the NTS you have to be there at least 30 minutes before your test time. Hard to tell when the center opens, though!

I like to take my tests in the afternoon since I'm not a morning person, but the one time I went ahead and scheduled a morning test since it was the only time on the day I wanted, when I showed up, their whole system was down and I couldn't test. Therefore, I am just not meant to take morning exams. lol

I love the 8 AM exam! I'm a night owl too, but I try to be in bed by 10:30 the night before & up by 5 AM. I eat a good breakfast, slurp down as much coffee as I can (I definitely use my break after the 1st set of MCQs), and do last minute flash cards or listen to Ninja Audio. I'm also superstitious – my only failed exam was a Noon appointment (not that it had anything to do with my being severely under-prepared).

Plus, once you're done you can hit up lunch and a well-deserved margarita! Not that I do that. Every single time. 🙂
