Well I personally felt like I killed it. I got a 70 first time around in November , I didn’t finish 60% of the sims. So I studied a little more and retested today. The test felt like stupid easier than the first time. Still tough questions and still had to think and guess on a couple but completed every section with time to review vs running out of time and not even finishing. I feel this is a fear sign but idk. What did y’all think of today’s test?

^ great point. Are there any other new standards that seemed to come up? I know this is kind of skirting into the territory of don't ask/don't tell re: what's on the actual exams.

I have a question. Is Exam Review Study Guide different than actual books or is it the same thing? I want to make sure I am buying right material. I am trying to buy it from Amazon or Ebay.

@kanwal – I have no idea if what you are looking at is the correct material. The cover of my book does not say guide anywhere and I am not familiar enough with the Becker product line to know if they have a separate guide to accompany their text book.

this is my last section and I am having such a hard time concentrating.. i have my exam scheduled for 2/29 and this is my first time taking FAR. I just finished Becker 3, but i did the progress test and scored 70, with some questions i guess b/c by now I have forgotten small details from 1 and 2.

I am scared that by chp 8 I will have completely forgot everything from ch1-7 lol so I keep going back and doing the hmwk and re writing the notes for each chapter and I am afraid to move on to Chp 4..

any suggestions to those have passed on how to continue?

@jllllllll I had that question too, I picked the right answer because the exam treats us like real cpa's in the fact we will have to stay current on all gaap laws and changes in it, but i bet it was a pretest question to see how we responded to it, I wouldnt stress over it, and YES the other question you got i did too and struggles as well.
I bet we had the same sims too, lease liability research possibly….? 😉

Just took the exam yesterday….Those were the hardest SIMS I have ever seen in my life ha. Anyways, nothing I can do about it now. Anxiously awaiting the score release already.

I feel the same way! I was doing great through all of the MCQ's until I got to the SIMS. I felt like I hadn't studied at all when I saw them!

First post:

Took FAR yesterday for the first time. The MCQ were what I was expecting and I felt good about the content. However SIMS were absolutely brutal. I only did abt 30 of the NINJA sims to prepare…..I was trending about 70% on NINJA MCQ with 1000 question attempts. A little more and I think I will be ready for the next one. DRAG I have to wait until April!

Hey, I'm curious, and maybe everyone already knows this, but is the material that they test on FAR pretty much the same throughout all of Q1? Is that why you can't take the same exam twice in a window? Do we know how similar/different the FAR exams are within the same window? Concentration of material? Just curious. Good luck everyone! I'm in 20 days and am only on F2 in Becker and got a puppy yesterday.. soo…

tacctfin11 – don't assume that you failed! That's exactly how I felt about AUD and was pretty sure the SIMS made me fail and I got a 79. They WANT you to feel that way when you leave. It's the weirdest thing and really hard to swallow after your first exam but don't consider it over until you get your score!
