    Hi,

I am getting ready to take FAR in 8 weeks. Could somebody that already passed FAR provide a list of the most common topics for FAR simulations?

    Thanks,

Check out the AICPA FAR blueprints. Also the AICPA practice tests. And they release previous questions from older tests. The material isn’t up to date (obviously) but it’s an extra chance to drill through questions.

All of those resources helped me pass!

FAR: 65 (still drying my tears) 2nd attempt: 7/2016
BEC: 81 5/2016 (WOO FIRST PASS!)
    REG: 5/2016
    AUD: 8/2016

@Peter001 per an agreement we all make when we take the cpa exam. we are not supposed to divulge the nature/topic of things on our exams. However, the AICPA blueprints separate topics based on what level of the knowledge hierarchy it covers. As a rule of thumb, the level “Analysis” is typically the topics sims come from due to the deeper level of understanding required.

There's also this older thread on here, not sure if some things have changed since then.

I took FAR and went through all the Sims from Becker, and there was nothing that related to like 80% of the sims. Maybe 1 Sim I got was material actually tested in Becker. The rest of the sims I had no idea what I was doing (not because I didn't study, but bc it seemed like never-before-seen material). The sims are going to make or break you
