I just took FAR a week ago and I don t think I did well on SIMS. I am using Wiley CPA Excel 2017 FAR.

Any advice on an other book I can use beside Wiley to do well on FAR SIMS? Thank you!

What area do you think you did bad on? I used Becker and really didn't do many of the sims at all and I think i did well on them on Exam. If i don't pass I definately know where to go back and review. I got 2 SIMS that were almost identical to eachother.

I used Becker and felt that I was really prepared for the FAR SIMS. That was before they had all of the SIM Video Walkthroughs that they just posted in Q3 as well. Those are even better practice and give you a very thorough walk through of the major SIMS.

Personally, I tend to think that weak performance on SIMs usually points to a weak understanding of the particular concept. I did zero sims when I was studying for FAR. I would recommend you try to identify which areas you are weak in and strengthen those. If you have a solid understanding of the material, applying it shouldn't be a problem. Most often, I think people have issues when they only have a shallow understanding of the concept. Ie can you explain WHY something is right vs just which answer is correct.
– That being said, I would see how you did on the actual exam, I remember thinking the exams on FAR were insane when I took them.

Should I buy becker 2017 or 2018? does it have sims and multiple choice questions? Thank you
