This is for those have taken and passed FAR, what was you estimated score or what you “thought” you were going to get going in (in all seriousness, try to give an actual number)….and what was your actual score?

    Thanks!

    FAR - 75
    AUD - 78
    BEC - 82
    REG - 77

Our value does not come from our skills and abilities, as good as they may be; it does not come from our GPA, our job, a promotion from that job to a better job, our success on the CPA exam, or anything of the like; but our value comes from the fact that we have a Creator who loves us, cares for us, and desires to help us navigate the rough waters of this life in a way that provides security, hope, and true, everlasting joy while we anticipate the life to come, with Him.

hmm… well depends on which time. the last time, however, I was freaking out knowing that I would lose both AUD and BEC if I didn't pass and knowing that I really didn't study what I would consider to be “enough” and felt like the test was the hardest test that I had ever taken… I really thought I would score in the 50's. I made an 88. I thought I failed all of my tests all the time, even when I did pass 🙂 I think some people have more confidence in their test taking abilities than others.

There are so many variables that go along with your question but in my personal experience I took the Becker practice exams at least 6 or 7 times during my study venture which means the quality of the practice exams diminished because I became familiar with the questions overtime that's why the instructors say to use it as your measurement when you feel you are ready to go. The first time I took the practice exam i think i got in the 50's or 60's and then a month later I would get in the 60's and so on and so forth. So like i said, my first crack at the becker practice exams I scored in the 50's and I finally passed becker with a 76. I probably wouldve scored in the 80's but I only got about 4 hours of sleep the night before the exam because my girlfriend drove me nuts. So take that with a grain of salt

    FAR. Feb 2014 76
REG. Jan 2015 79 half way there!!

I felt pretty prepared, but I knew there were certain topics I wasn't as strong in. Two of those topics really came back to haunt me during the SIMs. I thought I had a pretty good chance of passing, anywhere from 75-80. Walking out, I felt like I did pretty well on the MC, but not that great on the SIMs. I knew that if I were to pass, it would be really close. I thought my actual score would range anywhere from 65-78ish.

And it was…a 74. I was weaker in the SIMs. This Wednesday, I'm gonna finish this exam once and for all… I hope!

Just a couple of thoughts I tried to remember as I went through the journey of passing the CPA exams:
Philippians 4:6 "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God."
Philippians 4:13 "I can do all this through him who gives me strength."
