Embarrassed to say it but I keep failing FAR with scores between 67-74.

Using Becker and for the last fail of 67 got the Ninja mcq.

I did all the Ninja mcq one time and have an average of 50%.

Now I am going back to the Ninja mcq and redoing the ones missed last time seen.

For Becker, I do not know my average, it is hard to tell your overall average on Becker.

The last 74 I got which was in Feb 2015, I was strong on everything but sims.

But then on the retake in May 2015 I got a 67 and that is after doing 2000 more mcq.

I do mcq everyday but something is fundamentally not working with FAR.

I passed the other sections easier but lost them due to FAR.

I just do not understand what to do next.

From what you are saying, it sounds like you are not gaining the understanding you need from Becker and MCQ's. Are you reading all of the wrong answers to the MCQ as well as the right answers? I”m not familiar with Becker, but if you were also getting 50% on it as well as Ninja MCQ, then that shows a lack of understanding in some areas.

How long are you studying in-between FAR re-takes? What is your study habit like?

I would do a quick review on all your confident areas and then a major focus on your weak areas (Based on your study…not just if you were weak on SIMS).

The CPA exam crams all of your huge study packets into a pretty small, compact exam. Even though you went down…you may have been more prepared there is some luck of the draw on which questions are pulled. If you get a SIM in a topic you are comfortable vs. 1 you are not….the results will show.

Keep pushing, your half way through.

My review is going back each chapter repedeatly with a major focus on the areas I score weak on. Even if you get questions right during your practice, read the explanation. You may have got a lucky guess and not fully understood the question and then get it wrong on the exam.

Questions I get wrong or did not fully understand, I tend to write down the explanation just to help with the learning process and retaining the information.

I'm so sorry to hear about your situation. Have you tried looking into another course? Maybe Becker's methods are not working for you. When I went out on my search for prep materials I knew I needed more of a teaching course and that's when I found Roger. Since you have already taken FAR a few times maybe you can get the Cram. It's $225 and includes a book, which is almost like the full course. I think the combination of Roger + NINJA is what really helped me. Good luck with everything!

Like the above posters have said, sometimes it's just the luck of the draw and also make sure you understand why you are getting the Q's wrong.

The first time I took FAR I got a 73. I remember being surprised at one of the sims b/c it was barely covered in the book so I made sure to look at that part in the book my next go around. Low and behold I had a similar sim the 2nd time around.
