I just took my second FAR exam yesterday. I got 74 in September and the report shows I am stronger in MCQ and weaker in SIM. I studied over again and spend time practicing. My Becker mock exams scores: 1st: 69 2nd:76 3rd: 78. It gives me confidence before the exam. But…I feel so bad about the exam yesterday. MCQ is ok but I spent 1 hour and 40 minutes on it. I failed the research question. Also for the last sim question which is all about drop down list question, I just guessed randomly from list because I was run out time. It is so frustrating that I worked so hard but still did bad. The SIM in Becker are much easier and straight forward than the actual exam. I think I will get 70s again.

    Hey Ss,

Don't get frustrated, I also got 74 in October this year and going to retake it Jan 4. It doesn’t matter how well you prepared , they make it hard on purpose. Most probably the research question won’t count to your final score. Since you got 74 last time , there is no way you get less than what you got last time. I wish you good luck and let us know how it went after you receive your score !

I really hate these exams now. You have to do better than other 50 percent of people taking the exams to have margin of safety. 74 means you got unlucky.. it could've gone either way. Hope you pass this time!

I am studying FAR myself (using UWorld Roger). FAR will be the challenge, as I understand, given its depth and breadth of study. My strategy is to just do as many mock tests as possible and complete lots of lecture notes. I am hoping the other sections are easier.

First of all don't feel bad, FAR is really hard. The problem seems like Becker's system of tracking your progress is not great, if you're scoring a 76 and 78 on the mock exams you should do better on the real exam, not worse. Now it could that you're just not a strong test taker (like me), but I suspect it's not it.

I use Roger and passed FAR on my first try with a 79. The way Roger tracks your progress is with something called “Smartpath”, it is a feature that compares your MCQs scores to the scores of candidates who passed the exam already. So for example, “2,000 students who passed their exam on their first try scored 85% in the leases section”. So you know that if you get 85% on those MCQs then you're probably ready. Again it's not a perfect indicator (and I don't think any tool can tell you exactly when you're ready for the exam), but it's pretty damn close.

I would give it a try. In general Roger teaches FAR really really good, can't recommend it enough.

Okay so I had an exam today, quick overview:
    1 teslet was okay
2 was kind of harder and government acc a lot
3-5 were hell difficult , I barely finished the exam on time , leaving the last problem unsolved . On average I did 50% simulations correct but lets see
