    Hello everyone,

I will be taking FAR in 2 weeks. This is my third attempt and I would really appreciate if anyone can share which were the most important topics seen in Q4 and also your experience with SIMS. I have gone through the Q3 forum already but wanted to see if you had similar or different experiences. Last minute tips appreciated. I have been using Wiley test bank, beckers notes and questions, Ninja notes.

FAR is my last section left before am done (Fingers crossed)!!

I took FAR today for the first time.

    Multiple choice:
I couldn't really tell about the difficulty. I know I flagged two on the first two testlets.
The third testlet though I don't know about difficulty but the questions were a lot longer and they started eating up my time.
Overall I don't think I did too well. I think I needed to spend more time doing the Ninja MCQ to pass.
Topics were all across the board. I can't think of a single section that has a lot of emphasis.
In another thread someone mentioned getting some REG questions on FAR. I didn't experience any of that.

    Sims:
Two research questions and I hope one isn't pre-test. Found the first one quick, but the second was much harder. I think they were purposely trying to get you to pick the wrong one.
The 5 other sims were as others have said mainly journal entries, with some even wanting the other sides (company) entries.
I can't think of how best to study for these because the topics were so broad. One sim really went into detail on a topic not really covered much.
I had about an hour and 50 minutes to do them and finished with 15 minutes left to check my answers.

Overall I'm certainly not very confident in passing.
The worst thing was how long this test is. Sitting in one spot and trying to concentrate for so long has drained me. I look forward to sleeping for at least 10 hours soon!

I took FAR yesterday for my second time and it was so horrible. I was so much more prepared this time. The last time I took it was in July and I got a 64. My questions were worded so strange and I had no basic questions. They were all more complex but I couldn't tell if they were getting harder. The MCQ took up so much of my time, I flagged so many questions and I didn't get to finish all of my SIMS let alone review them. I am so frustrated because this is my last exam, but now if I end up failing then I only have one more chance before I would loose Audit. I don't see how there is any possibility that I passed considering the questions made me feel like I had hardly studied.

    I know that feel mncpa11 🙁
All the questions seemed to blend in. REG and BEC multiple choice was much more straight forward.

I took it last week. My mcq overall werent terrible. First testlet was medium second testlet was harder and third was weirdly half very easy and half medium. I took about 60 minutes in each testlet which left me with about 60 a little less for the sims which was terrible on my part. I definitely got the research question and another one i knew what i was doing. the other 5 i basically guessed on the journal entires and had no times so i just put the account names and numbers to not leave them blank. Any chance i can pass with that?

Im kind of freaking out. It would be my last.

Took FAR for the second time this morning. Wasn't nearly as bad as I though it would be. Maybe 10 MCQs max that I doubted myself on. SIMs weren't bad at all. Didn't see anything crazy and the research question was pretty straightforward. I got lucky in that some of my weaker topics didn't really show up on the exam or only had like one or two questions.

All I can do now is wait for the 8th and hopefully get good news so I can schedule AUD for February.

I posted this in another thread so I'll just basically repeat myself:

“I had a much different exam experience than many of you are reporting. I’m not sure now if I had an easy exam, if I really knew my stuff, or if I’m just blissfully ignorant of how ignorant I am. Its probably the third one!

That being said, for my sims… My sims were easy. A few of them were long, but they were easy.

My average and trending scores on ninja MCQ were in the upper 60s. I currently feel like I definitely hit 75 on this one, but December 8th is a long ways away. By then, I’ll be convinced I made a 7 on the whole thing.”

Added info after thinking on it a few days…My Research question was easy. 2 keyword searches and I was set. My DRS was lengthy but it was straight forward. One of my sims was straight out of one of bob's examples on ninja plus.

MCQ all seemed medium to me honestly, but they got longer and/or more involved so I assume at least one of the second two testlets were difficult.

Like I said… I either bombed it or aced it.

@Ben. I literally feel the exact same way. I tested the 26th and was thinking it can't be this easy most of the test. This was my second attempt and I just know I must have been tricked!

@Tax Lady that's how I felt too. I made a 55 the first time and walked out of there knowing I didn't pass. Yesterday was a lot easier than the first time. Here's hoping I didn't jinx myself. Just have to wait for the 8th to find out.

@Tax Lady Have you passed any other sections or was FAR the first one you took? If I pass this it'll be my first pass so I really want it out of the way. I just started studying for AUD yesterday as I wanna knock it out the first Saturday in February.

@AScott89. FAR is my last section. I've tried to update my signature but it won't seem to work. I'm not sure I like the new forum. I've been at this a while with long breaks in between exams due to a severe foot injury. I'm ready to be done!

@Tax Lady nice! I attempted BEC once and got a 65 back in 2014 and then tried my hand at AUD twice (got a 72 and a 68) before I took a break from the exam for financial reasons. I am so ready to have my first section passed. Here's hoping we see 75 (or better) on the 8th.

I took FAR for the second time yesterday. The exam seemed too good to be true. I did not see a big change in the questions which worries me so much but there were several I knew for sure I got the right answer the rest I used my knowledge and logic to get through. I cannot believe I am saying this but I felt super confident with 5 of the 7 TBS. It still feels weird feeling that way like something is going to go horribly wrong on score release day but for some reason I do not feel as horrible as I did the last 5 test experiences. I am scared of being confident I passed since I have not seen a 75 yet but there is hope for a miracle next week. Good luck to everyone. I am now beginning what I am calling the 2 Week December Mental Health Holiday (no intense studying and actual fun and enjoyment)

AUD- 72, 71, TBD (now i am pissed no more messing around)
