I just took my first CPA exam – FAR
I failed. I am now wondering how to re-register for it ASAP.

MY NTS had FAR and AUD on it. I haven’t taken AUD yet. How do I go about getting another NTS for FAR without losing my AUD/paying for AUD again?

    FYI am in California.
    Thank you

You just have to go to your state board of accountancy's website and apply for re-examination. After you receive a notification that you are eligible, you go to NASBA's website and pay for the exam. After a couple of days, you will have your NTS available on NASBA's website.

    AUD - 74
    BEC - 86
    FAR - 75
    REG - 77
    Persistence is the key.

    okay. Thank you!
It looks like I am looking at 2-3 weeks then.
Thank goodness for no more testing windows. Because if I reapply to California, they are going to take 2-3 weeks to get my info to NASBA for NASBA to take 2-3 days to give me permission to register again (If things go how they did the first time)

So to be clear, I will now have two NTS correct? My first with AUD still valid and then this new one for the FAR retake?

Yes, your AUD NTS will remain valid until you take the AUD exam or the NTS expires. Good luck! 🍀

    AUD - 93
    BEC - 82
    FAR - 76
    REG - 88

If you want things to change you have to do something different.

    FAR 7/25/15 76!
    AUD 10/30/15 93
    BEC 2/27/16 82
    REG 5/23/16 88!

I found that every time I had to get a new NTS, processing times were much faster than the initial time. There were times when I mailed the application and got the ATT to select my exam within 5 days. Good luck!
