Hi everyone, just wanted some advice with this FAR exam, passed other 3 n failed FAR 4 times already w 70, 68, 65 n another 70. This is stressing me out very much as I am keep doing bad in simulations. I have been using surgent and now Ninja for both MCQs n sims, n I must say that the actual exam feels more like what Ninja has to offer, eventhough I passed other 3 w Surgent without much hassle. As per these sims, any advice? I am doing them in both Surgent n Ninja but the exam sims feel so different. I got consolidation sims each of the 4 times n each time I bombed even though I did sims on it multiple times w ninja n Surgent.exam consolidation just seems a lot more harder n due to time constraints, it is just harder. Any advice as to which study program has consolidation or sims that are very similar to the exam sims? Any other advice on the sims, time managements n how to prepare for it better the 5th time around? Keep studying the same thing is not the most exciting thing!! Thank you

You need to understand consolidation next time to pass. Its very likely it will appear on your next exam. Have you looked into farhat lectures on YouTube? His lectures on consolidation is really good. He has a long example of consolidation that was very helpful to me.

I did take a look at it but did not spend enough time on it which I will do now. Now that I think about it, they will throw another consolidation sim at me so thank you for pointing that out. My biggest thing is I spend too much time on the MCQ, almost 1:45-2:00 hours n end up not having a bough time for sims, so I start feeling very overwhelmed when I see long sims such as consolidation n SCF. How were u able to prepare for such sims? These are killing me and I got the same sims in two of exams on JJ company purchasing inv and selling at the end of the year which I did bad on both times… so tired of it

Take the AICPA practice exam. Set a time schedule for the exam. When you get there write it down on your scratch pad. Gleim has a web page with suggestions for this. I did this and found it to be very helpful during the exam. I also tested before breaks were excluded from the allowed time. I think breaks would have been too distracting for me. Staying focused and on a schedule is key. You can do this. Put the past attempts behind you. Don’t only study consolidation- start fresh. Positive self-talk matters. Don’t get discouraged. Good luck!🍀

Start with all your weakness first and get it right this time. You already passed 3 exams pretty easily so you should be fine with FAR. I actually ran out of time on FAR and guessed eight questions on simulation questions and i still ended up passing. It shows that if you end up doing well on other parts then you should be fine. You will be fine.. im really spending lots of time on weakness in auditing. Probably do lots of simulation this time around. Good luck!

Guys thank you very much. Great advices. I’m going to go n try different simulations by signing on for free trials to see if I could improve on them. So close yet feel so far away from that 75!! Just another questions, on retakes, how much do u guys study? Is it all in like the first time or just slightly go over?
