I have been studying BEC using the Becker CPA software and got the Wiley CPA test bank. I wanted to know, Has anyone used Becker and felt some Wiley topics weren’t mentioned in Becker? which made you switch to Wiley or other sources. plz share your experience. I will be taking BEC in next few weeks.

@akb9874 practice exam wasnt help much, since most were same as HW problems in the software. I did HW problems like 10 times(I got 90, 81, 81).

So are you just memorizing the answers now or do you really understand? There are Final Exams in Becker too that are a lot more difficult. Are you seeing a difference between your scores in Becker versus your scores in Wiley?

@akb9874 not memorizing it, I do work out math problems and reasons my way to understand the concept. With Wiley, I am getting 70s..thats because I went straight to the exam testlet, without reading wiley book. If I had read wiley, like becker I would get higher. and some of questions, as I said, in my first post, are mentioned ONLY in Wiley, which I had no knowlege

Hey guys. I just stumbled on your post from Google and would really like your input since you all seem to have experience both with Becker and Wiley. So my Becker registration has expired and I didn't have a chance yet to pass the exams. (long story, but basically i got a full-time job a child was born right when i was eligible to start taking the cpa…) Anyway, I still have the Becker books, notecards, and lecture DVDs. Would I succeed with that stuff and the Wiley online practice questions? What would you guys recommend? It would sure save a buck!!

Using what you currently have and supplementing is a cost-effective way of doing it.

    AUD - 79
    BEC - 80
    FAR - 76
    REG - 92

@urik. I just passed BEC last window, using becker. My friend has becker and they both are pretty much same. If you put enough time into studying and creating study schedule, you should pass. I just dont think Wiley is good. Becker worked for me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
