Wiley Test Bank vs. REG

I’m curious how people feel about the Wiley test bank for REG. A little background: I passed BEC with an 88 using ONLY the Wiley Test bank (just did nothing but MCQs… about 2000 of them) and supplemented with the Gleim audio while commuting to work (30 mins a day). Coincidentally, after 2000+ MCQs, i had gotten 88% correct… Yes, I know % isn’t a very good measure of how you will do on the exam, but it’s the best I’ve got.

Now I’m taking REG, which for me is considerably harder. I invested in the Gleim testbank, and also try questions on CPAReviewForFree. Between those two I average about 60%… but then I jump on Wiley and I’m in the mid-high 70s.

So really my question is this — are the Wiley MCQs for REG too easy compared to the actual exam? Or am I just being nervous because of overly difficult Gleim/CPAReviewForFree MCQs?

I’ve got another month before I take the exam, so I’d like to know which test bank to focus on.

    Advice?

    Thanks!

I thought Wiley test bank was very appropriate, I was consistently scoring in the mid 80% on new Qs (ie not redoing old ones) and passed the exam.

And yeah “Gleim audio” I used that for REG while commuting almost ended up in the guard rail several times, asleep, couldnt be drier, good info horrible execution

My experience is that Wiley's scores are higher than the actual exam for FAR, REG and AUD, however for BEC it approximates it very well. So make sure you're in the mid to high 80's before you can consider yourself ready.

Wiley DOES do a good job on their questions, they use released questions from the AICPA in their questions.

Remember: Don't memorize the questions, memorize why the others are wrong and why the one correct one is right.

In my opinion, Wiley is comparable to what you would see on a “medium” testlet for the most part.

    Great input! Much appreciated, everyone!

And P.S. – Amen to the Gleim audio being very dry… after nearly falling asleep myself several times, I seriously considered shelling out the big bucks on Roger, just to get some energy & enthusiasm in there. Very textbook-like, but goood info, if you can endure it. 🙂

Take it from me…I boosted my REG score by 19 points using the Wiley Online Test Bank.
