Wiley Question –

Has anyone else ever had problems with the program? For me, I am unable to do the Practice Session or Take a Test b/c it’s claiming there is a Java problem, but my Java is all set up. So I’m just not sure if anyone else has experienced problems too?

I have dealt with this problem multiple times due to Java updates. It is very frustrating for someone who is not tech savy like me, but I found the main issue. WTB has a url that is HTTP, and not HTTPS. What you must do is access Java security on your computer, uncheck the HTTPS requirement for trusted websites, and add the WTB url to the list of trusted websites.

Wiley, I thank you for getting away from Java in advance to remedy this issue, and hope this helps other users. It took me hours to figure out how to fix the security problem, again not tech savy. If this helps, you could always thank me by extending my access to REG and FAR on WTB. 😉

Also, I have noticed this issue appears to soley be on Java, and for OS below Windows 7. For example, I use Windows Vista. After correcting the issue with Java, you will still have a window that pops up with a warning, but you will be able to use the WTB.

I will attempt to answer any questions regarding my fix to Java, but remind you that I am not a tech guy. 🙂

“Matt M.: After updating to Version 7 Update 51 go to the JAVA control panel click the Security tab and change the Security Level from High to Medium.

Next add these addresses to the exception list.
