Wiley Question –

Here are the number of review modules in the WTB for the sections I have purchased where you can choose from topics:

FAR: 26

BEC: 8

AUD: 9

REG: Not sure, I haven’t purchased yet. Can anyone confirm the number of topics on the configure practice session part?

Based on the amount of material you must learn and from the numbers above, I would say that FAR is 3x more difficult than BEC or AUD. From my experience so far this is definitely true! You can also judge based on the number of college courses you would have to take to cover the material on each exam.

BEC: Cost Accounting (1 class)

AUD: Auditing (1 class)

FAR: Intermediate 1&2, Advanced Accounting, Government and NFP accounting (4 classes)

REG: Business Law, Corporate Tax, Individual Tax (2-3 classes)

Based on my indexes so far, I am not looking forward to studying for REG! LOL

REG has 18 topics in WTB.

I don't think that these metrics are entirely accurate, but they do lend some information. For example, FAR has many different topics and more material; Auditing has fewer topics and more thorough understanding required. However, I didn't think that REG was harder than AUD or BEC, but the amount of content in FAR definitely was overwhelming!

Oh, and for the classes, I would contend that BEC also draws from an Intro to Business and/or Technology. 🙂
