I just received my Yaeger Home Study Now & Then program for both 2011 FAR & AUD. Along with it came with the 2011 Wiley Complete Test Bank CD, I’m a bit confused because I thought I would be only getting the test bank cd for 2011 of FAR & AUD separately, and then get a 2012 test bank cd for the remainder of the sections.

Does anyone have experience with this? Does the Wiley Test Bank CD complement and go with the same order of the book / Yaeger instructions from their video?

If I get my 2012 REG & BEC Wiley Book + 2012 Yaeger videos, will I have any trouble following along with the 2011 Wiley Complete Test Bank CD?

Any input will be appreciated!

I don't understand why you got the Wiley CD. I ordered about 6 weeks ago and just got access to the online test bank. Did you get a memo from Yaeger with different info on it? If so, check that and see if there is an activation code for the Wiley website.

Hmm, that is really odd that you got the Wiley Online Test Bank, and I received the 2011 Complete Wiley Test Bank CD.

Getting the online test bank makes more sense since it'll update itself once 2012 comes around. I kind of feel jealous that I didn't get that, but I'll email Sonny to see what he says. Will definitely keep you guys up to date, for anyone else who plans to purchase the course too.

I've finally received a response from Sonny over at Yaeger CPA now that the holiday weekend is over.

This makes up 98% of the response I received. “The test bank you received has all four parts on it. We will sell you the 2012 version to you at our cost of $30.00.”

I don't know how I should even respond to this as I feel that this may be a little bit unfair, especially since I was not told up front of the extra pricing and charges that will incur. I also feel a bit frustrated over Yaeger's customer service. To be honest, I've been exchanging emails back and forth even before my purchase, asking for a price break down of the “NOW & THEN” program and details on when the 2nd payment will be charged, if shipping will be charged for the 2nd payment, total cost of 2nd payment, etc etc. Each response and email has always been one sentence that doesn't even answer all the questions that I've asked, and I would have to constantly reply back and re-ask each question. I'm sorry, but the customer service seems to be half #$$ed. I wasn't happy with their customer service before I even made the purchase and committed, but from all the good reviews here on the review course product itself, I gave it a shot. I barely received the package last week, so I haven't had a chance to sit down and actually start my review yet so I can't comment on the actual review course itself. But as of right now, I have a really bad taste in my mouth towards their customer service.

But here's a quick update to my earlier post. I replied back to Sonny @ Yaeger with my concern and John followed up with me in a matter of a few minutes in regards to my situation with the Wiley Test Bank Software. He was very professional and courteous making sure that I was completely satisfied. He took his time to explain to me what was going on and the reasoning on why I received what I got. I really appreciate the time John took to write to me, making sure everything was okay. Sonny has also emailed back to me promptly to follow up with the resolution as well.

They've been very helpful and all in all, everything is now resolved and everyone is happy. I'm just excited to get off from work and go home and start on my first day of CPA studying for FAR with Cindy @ Yaeger!!!!!

So what was the resolution from Sonny and John? Why did you receive what you received? I recently purchased FAR 2011 and will get the other parts next year using the Now and Then program, and I also received the 2011 Wiley Testbank CD. I agree that the online version would probably be more reliable since it would be updated to reflect changes….

And I was also frustrated with the pricing information, or lack thereof, on the Now and Then plan. Everything was so disorderly and the email they sent me explaining how the Now and Then program worked was very vague and DID NOT explain all of the prices involved in the Now and Then plan – like extra shipping charges and extra testbank costs.

I have already had to send back my FAR 2011 USB because it would mute the teacher for 2 or 3 words about every 30 seconds and I got tired of trying to figure out what she was saying. I just feel like the entire Yaeger program is unorganized and all over the place, all the way down to the lectures and how that information is relayed to us. I'm not saying it's not worth the money, but a little more organization would be nice.

Makes me glad I chose Roger. Not helpful to you guys I know- but Yaeger seems to have quite a lot of customer service issues.

Wiley Rest review did just post on here though talking about the updates. Maybe look for that post- I don't remember where I saw it.

I called Yaeger just now because I wanted the new test bank and also needed access to the student portal for BEC and REG that i ordered in 2012 for my now and then program and Sonny answered, gave me access right away, and sold me the new test bank for $30 and e-mailed me instant access.

I'm happy with that, I think $30 to get an upgrade of the test bank isn't bad instead of paying $180 something for it.

If you have the online access for the 2011 and/or now and then program, it automatically is in 2012 access now. The cd is the only exception. When I bought my now and then I got 2011 Far and the rest 2012 and I received the online access rather than cd without even making the choice. I guess they decide or depends on when you ordered it and they decided to switch to online only.

Got an email back from Yaeger, the 2012 Testbank software isn't included in the Now & Then package but we can purchase it from them for an additional $30… which is a good deal. Just didn't realize that it wasn't originally included in the package when I first purchased it.

@yellowboy817 – I bought the Now & Then package for I believe $1817 (in two separate payments), and I received two of my chosen sections back in 2011 and then two more sections were shipped with the new 2012 materials this year. It's a good package if you want to buy all your materials at once but won't be sitting for all 4 sections within a year.

im actually buying the wiley online test bank separately, FAR first, probably on this site. but do I wait until I actually start reviewing the study material or do I buy it now? It would make more sense that I would have to review the chapters before I can even successfully attempt the test bank. and do i purchase Jeff's review notes now? or later?
