This has probably been a recurring problem for a long time already, but I want to rant about Wiley and their terrible technical issues.
For me, I used their Wiley Canvas website in conjunction with my CPA review classes in school. Once I graduated, we’ve transitioned over to their standard review course website.
However their review course website is one of the glitchiest websites I’ve ever seen. They seem to emphasize aesthetics while neglecting to do the most basic of technical coding and troubleshooting.
Problems include:
1) Wrong answer choices being given for sims and MC’s, or the explanations not lining up correctly.
2) Every time I log in, their website will automatically take me to a lesson assessment, with half of them somehow done already even though I’ve never seen it before. I have to back out in an incredibly tedious way to get to my home page.
3) The login doesn’t even work sometimes, and says that I have no access to the product even though I’ve been using it for 4 months.
4) Sometimes it’ll be stuck on the “spinning wheel of death”, I like to call it, for an unbearably long time before the session times out.
5) By far the worst is sometimes I’ll be in the middle of a quiz and the page will CRASH in the middle of the session. One of the reasons I decided to get Ninja as a supplement because I was tired of raging over lost quizzes and decided that the quizzes on Ninja were much more stable.Honestly I had known it was this bad I would’ve continued to be a CS major and gone out designed a better website then the piece of crap they seem to offer. Plus their customer support is a joke, the online chat never works and every call I make to them ends up in that annoying “beep beep beep” sound where the call didn’t get put through.
I’ve been stressed already since I have FAR in about 2.5 weeks, and these technical problems are not helping my cause at all.
