Ok, I’ve been using the Wiley software and it’s great for MCQ’s, but it seems to really suck for SIMS.
For example: I was working on a foreign currency translation problem and the answer to one of the problems was -260.40 so when I enter that in, the software marks it wrong because the correct answer is (260.4). It won’t accept the -260.40 as an answer. Ok, no big deal. I know I’m really right. I move to another part of the same problem and this time I try to enter it with (parentheses), but then it won’t even let me enter the (parentheses). The right answer pops up immediately when I try to enter the (parentheses). What is up with that? It marked 2 of my answers wrong because of format even though I entered the correct numbers or tried to.
Is it like this at the actual exam? This is my first exam so it has me wondering about whether they’ll mark an answer wrong because I enter 240.60 instead of 240.6
Is anyone else having this issue with Wiley SIMS? It’s marked a lot of my answers wrong because of this, and when I try to change to their format it gives me errors, etc. It just seems to be really bad software for SIMS.
Thanks for letting me vent!
