I would say that Wiley Simulations are pretty indicative of the exam. As in, it gets you familiar with thinking in a different way.
Historically, I have gotten weaker on all of my simulations. However, this last time I took FAR, I scored a comparable.
I realized that in order to do well on the simulations, you have to understand the concepts of the particular topic. For every topic you study (i.e. Liquidating Distributions for Partnerships), make sure you understand every “what if” scenario. Ask yourself, what if they asked me to solve this? What if they asked me to solve that? Look at each topic from a different angle, not just from the angle that your review materials present the topic.
Also, its a good idea, if you can, to find a study buddy. This helped me tremendously to pass FAR. I failed twice when I studied by myself. However, studying with someone and discussing the topics really makes you realize how much you know or how much you dont.
I hope this helps.
