Hey I am using the Wiley testbanks and I feel like the simulations are too easy, are those simulations a good representation of the ones that appear on the tests or are the ones that appear on the test harder (in general)? I mean I’m not looking for specifics but I would like to know if those are actually preparing me for the test

    Thanks

    FAR 92
    AUD 91
    BEC 11/06/2011
    REG 02/01/2012

The simulations from my experience with REG were no where near the SIMS on the real exam. The SIMS on the real exam were nightmares!!

My experience with FAR was that the level of difficulty was spot-on with regard to sims. (The MCQs on the test were significantly harder than those in the Wiley bank though.)

However, the feeling I got from the Wiley bank's sims was that there were only 3-4 possible topics they were likely to ask about. Turns out, that wasn't exactly true. 😉

    FAR 2/23/2011 | 95
    AUD 4/15/2011 | 97
    BEC 5/25/2011 | 94
    REG 8/17/2011 | Fingers crossed

rknight21, I think it really depends on what you get and your level of comfort with the material. For me FAR MCQ on the real exam were for the most part easier than the wiley review. REG MCQ on the real exam were more difficult because the real exam required that you know minute details that Wiley's MCQ didn't require. Also B-Law question were worded very strange. BEC question were comparable to the Wiley question although I thought Wiley's questions were somewhat harder. So it really depends

ok kool thanks for that reply…. I should have noted that i was more talking abt AUD. I am using Wiley, cpareviewforfree & Becker 2009. I picked up wiley after someone posted that wiley for AUD would make the real exam easier. But like you said it depends on the person and the exam in reference…I must admit the wiley questions are a bit harder than the two other resources i am using.

@ rknight21 – I took auditing on 2/28/11, I can tell you that the Wiley 2011 book totally prepared me for the test. I am not saying I passed (although I think I did) but what I can tell you is that I was fully prepared using Wiley for the exam. In my mind that is all you can ask for. I also used Bisk from 2010, but Wiley was key. Just to note also, I am not an auditor and had to start from scratch ( I took Auditing college classes obviously) and basically taught myself. Jeff's notes were def. kick a$$ as well.

    Good Luck!

You know, I thought the exact same thing. I'm currently taking the FAR Simulations using the Wiley software since there are no sims on Gleim and I think they are way too easy. I'm practically getting everything correct. And I'm answering them pretty quickly too because I find them very short. This seems too good to be true. I doubt the real exam will be the same way.

Hmm. I could sure use some input from people that have taken the exam during the first testing window.
