So we figured out that Wiley hasn’t yet updated their AL for the clarified standards. Since I started using the correct AL from the AICPA website, I’ve been scoring much better on the Wiley research questions. What I’m still struggling with is the formatting and I’m not sure if this is just a Wiley issue or something I should be seriously concerned about for the exam.

For REG, things were pretty straightforward with the research questions, but for AUD, I keep getting questions wrong because I put answers like “.A1” instead of “.A1 (Illustration 1)”. How am I supposed to know to add that to the answer? I’m also confused about what to do when the questions asks for a range of paragraphs. On some questions, Wiley says to write “A1-4” but on others it says to write “A1-A4”. Does the AICPA have any guidance on how I should format the questions on the actual AUD exam?

It would be absolutely crazy to lose points on a research question for a silly formatting error.
