Hey guys! Just bought the WTB yesterday, and I’m noticing that for the research sims, there’s no “Search within” functions on Wiley, and there’s also no AU-C option. Entering certain word combinations (that I would expect would return at least something) don’t result in any returns at all, which I find to be quite odd. Am I missing something? Do I need to flip some sort of switch in the settings? Becker’s research sim software seems to mirror the actual exam research sim much better than Wiley.

You are not insane. There is no “search within” for Wiley TB. Back in June, the SIMS were setup right to search their (Wiley TB) current set of AL. They are now setup so the answer requires AU-C, but the (Wiley TB) AL is still the old AU. Meaning, answering correctly isn't really possible.

I went through them anyway just to see if I get the right section (AR, PCAOB, AU, etc.) and just to read about the topic. The other sections besides AU you can still answer correctly.

I haven't read or heard anything about why they did this or when it will be fixed.

Thanks, 10key! Glad it wasn't just me! Good point about finding the right section! I noticed Becker basically just has AU-C research questions, so it's good practice to branch out.

AU are not apdated. And Authoritative Literature only contains some AUs, not all of em. The answer to one of the research sims is au540, which is not available to read.

Wow, looks like you are really on top of things! I never practice the research SIMS because as you've noticed, it's pretty much pointless with Wiley. As long as you have good research skills in general, you shouldn't be worried about this part…and based on your scores, you shouldn't be worried at all! I wish I had such high scores! Funny, I know…some just pray for a 75….but I always tend to compare myself to those who did better than me…..
