I purchased the Wiley Online supplemental test bank for the FAR section 6 months ago, and I’ve been using to study.

Are there any CPA candidates that passed by practicing the Wiley Online Supplemental Test Bank?

On the home page when you log in it says that “successful candidates score at least 60 consistently on the practice sessions”. Should I take their word for it? I’ve been doing that for the multiple choice questions, so am I in good shape? It kinda seems to good to be true…

I have one more semester of college and I plan on sitting for the FAR section during September. I’m currently brushing up on all the FAR topics that I’ve encountered in school. I also have the BECKER lecture videos

“Those who pass score at least 60” doesn't mean “scoring at least 60 means you will pass”. “Those who pass score at least 20” is true, too, just deceptive.

Personally, I did well on SIMs so don't think they brought down my MCQ score, and found that my score on the exams was either the same as my WTB score or about 5 points above, most of the time, so for me, I would've predicted a 60-65 for the actual exam if I was getting about 60 on MCQs just before the exam. My first exam (BEC) my score for the exam happened to be exactly my WTB average score, but that was just coincidence.

All that being said, if you're not testing till September, then 60's now is great!

I passed the first time and I used the online Wiley Test Bank. I noticed that I was getting 70's on the Wiley Test Bank, but usually ended up passing the exam with a little higher score.

One thing to be careful of is that you may get to a point where you are memorizing the answers to questions just because you have seen the same question multiple times. I had to force myself to think through the answer, and ask the question “Why am I picking this choice?”.

I had a very similar experience to benboy. Scored in the mid 70s for most of the sections and got a few points higher on the actual exam. One thing I did that I think helped me not memorize the answers was to only do each multiple choice question in the test bank a maximum of twice. If I missed a question, I would “flag” it and revisit it later with the other missed questions. If I got a question right the first time through, I figured I knew it and didn't need to spend too much time answering it many times over.

Just a couple of thoughts I tried to remember as I went through the journey of passing the CPA exams:
Philippians 4:6 "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God."
Philippians 4:13 "I can do all this through him who gives me strength."

Currently using Ninja for REG, but used Wiley for Audit. I did not study the books, nor anything else. Did 1800 questions and made a 82. If you're using it as a supplement, I don't see why not.

I find the Wiley online supplement questions to be much easier than the becker questions. They test you on the main points whereas becker questions are way to in depth. Are the wiley questions similar to the ones I'll be seeing on the actual exam?

I think your test will be somewhere in between the two to be honest. I find Wileys SIMs comparable. Some of Beckers are head scratchers

I used Wiley's Test bank for REG and it helped while I was using CPAExcel for my main study material. My strategy was to hit every question once and then go back and answer the questions I got wrong correctly.

For Audit I tried NINJA MCQ for the first time. The material is the same, but I give the edge to NINJA due to format, Adaptive Learning, and stats that are provided (we're accountants, we love stats).

Give Wiley a shot if you'd like, but I would definitely consider NINJA MCQ.
