I have the Wiley trial for another 2 days, so for curiosity’s sake I decided to pull up the FAR syllabus and add up the total estimated time for all ~262 sections. (accountant’s love spreadsheets, right…?)
I came up with approximately 204 hours including the 3 final exams at 4 hours each.
Wiley quotes approximately 180 hours for FAR per their customer service rep.
Based on my experience with the beginning units I was able to come in under the estimated times for most of the sub-units I tried during my trial period. So just a heads up to anyone interested. If you shoot for 25 hours a week, this would put you at 8 weeks to finish the basic tasks, not counting deep dives, or supplemental MCQ/SIM practice.
Plan accordingly and succeed!
