    Hello Guys

I need some advise on FAR Exam. My exam is Aug and I have 45 days to go w/ 6 days to overall review in my hand. I am studying off Wiley Test Bank w/ Yaeger Review Lectures. But so far, out of 4 chapters, I am always scoring below 50%.

Should I be worried or reschedule my exam to give my self some extra time? I am writing notes as I read / listen to lectures and also when I get some questions wrong.

I listen to lecture one day and do the question the next day. Am I doing something wrong or should I be very worry about it?

    Please Advise

You have a LONG time… I have 6 days. I've been scoring 70- 85 on my small groups of targeted questions. Are you using a review course? Pay attention to what you did wrong, read the explanation and take notes. Learn from your mistakes!

    FAR - 7/13 - 72, 11/13- 74, 2/14- 82!!! Best score ever (for me)!!!
BEC - 1/14 - 75!!! Perfect score! First Pass! YAY!!!
    AUD - 8/14 - 80!!!
    REG - 5/14 - 72, 10/14 - 66, 1/15 - 78 - DONE FOREVER!!!
I did 5 of the UNA and CPAExcel classes to earn units.

Like StephAV said, you've got a long time to go – don't be worrying yet!

I'm confused by the 6 days thing, though. Do you mean you have 6 days of review already done, or that you only have 6 full days to review between now and your exam? If out of 45 days you only have 6 days you can devote to study, then I think you need to look at your priorities and see if you can really do this exam right now. I understand that for people who work (which is most of us), you only have one or two days a week that you can fully devote to studying…but studying has to become a lifestyle to make it through these exams. If you're unable to make the commitment, you might need to consider if this is the right time to be taking the exam. But…if you meant that so far, you've only studied 6 days, then you're doing perfectly fine! If you could be scoring high after 6 days of study, I would be insanely jealous of you, and would begin plotting ways to steal your scores. 😉

    Thank You Guys

Out of 45 days, I have reserved around 6 Days to do Hardcore Review. So I have around 38 Days to finish the 10 chapters. What discourages me the most is the Test Bank. I finished Inventory (90 Question) and I got around 40 right for knowing the answer and around 20 wrong for reading the question wrong and 30 wrong for not knowing the answer at all (Majority of the time, not knowing feels like I might have missed something in the lecture or didn't review the book right). Also, Current Asset and Current Lib chapter had 145 questions and I decided to do all 145 as a review and ended up answering only 1/3 right.

So as far as my question review, should I try to do a small segment out of those huge chapter? Like Present value has 250 questions.

    Thanks for the advise.

You said you are using Yaeger, and they actually recommend specific questions to do instead of doing them all. I am also using Yaeger and I typically have gone ahead and done all the questions even though they didn't recommend to on my first two exams, but for FAR there is just so much information to get through I am actually just doing the ones they recommend.

Another thing you might try is as you are finishing each segment in the chaper, which in Wiley is denoted by the capital letter bullet points, try going ahead and doing the MCQ's for that section. Then what I do is after I finish the entire module I go back and do all of the ones they recommend. That way you are seeing them all twice at least.

    AUD - 2/2013 - Passed!
    BEC - 5/2013 - Passed!
    FAR - 8/2013 - Passed!
    REG - 11/2013 - Passed!
