I bought the Platinum Wiley CPA exam study material. Is it good enough to pass all 4 sections? Or will I need more supplementary materials?

I used Wiley Silver, REG 79, BEC 76, AUD 75. But, I used only MCQ and some TBS, listened to about 50-75% of lectures. I am considering the Ninja Audio for FAR, because it seems to be so much material…

    Good Luck!

I used Wiley gold and don't think I would have passed without Ninja MCQ/Notes.

Lots of info about all the courses in these forums already, and it's different for everyone. Wiley was awful for me, and I could have had Wiley platinum coated diamond dipped in gold and still wouldn't have used most of the material – nor would it have fit my learning style.

    BEC - 80
    FAR - 81 (third attempt)
AUD - waiting for score 8/23
REG - 09/08/2016 - going to cram and wing it

I used just Wiley textbooks and MCQs – so waaaay less than Wiley Platinum – and passed all 4 first-try, scores were something like BEC 79, FAR 81, AUD 92, REG 83.

Other people have used Wiley ____ (insert which combo here) and failed all multiple times, then switched ____ (insert other provider here) and passed each one on the next try.

Wiley suited me wonderfully. I wanted something I could dig into that would give me everything and leave it to me to find the amusement in it (which I did by eating an M&M or Skittle or a Smarties or something like that for every page I read). But, others want something that gives them the “important” info, or breaks it down into “bite-size” memorable nuggets, or want lectures rather than books, etc. etc.

So, Wiley CPA Platinum is more than sufficient to pass the CPA exams. But whether or not it will be for you is something that only you can figure out. If you feel like you need some supplements, go ahead and get them. If you feel pretty comfortable with Wiley, then roll with Wiley. It's enough, but whether you and it can “talk to each other” well enough for it to be right for you is another question.

Honestly, I bought the most expensive Wiley package because I didn't know any better. Halfway through studying for FAR (my first exam) I switched to Ninja 100%. Was mad I wasted money but whatever it takes. I like ninja because I learn better by doing mcqs and teaching myself.

    FAR- 5/11/15 76!!
    AUD-10/31/15 63, 84!
    REG-7/12/16 72
    BEC-8/31/15 75!! Perfect Score!

I bought the silver package (got the student discount) and used Ninja MCQ for the final review phase. After I was done with FAR, they gave everyone access to the Wiley Test Bank for free. I only used it a little bit for SIM practice. Since Ninja MCQ worked for FAR, I decided to stick with it for the other sections also.

Maybe you could use Wiley Test Bank for your review phase and the platinum package has more questions than the silver, no? I'm not really sure what the difference is.

You can pass if you can stick to the materials and utilize everything that they provide. I couldnt stand their flashcards, focus notes and textbook. So basically I would just watch their videos and do each chapter MCQ, and do a full review using a supplement such as Ninja MCQ. I wish I had bought Roger instead of Wiley, but price wise it is about the same. Its just that Wiley lectures are boring and hard to stay focus, but you can learn just as well as rogers lectures.

I did the same as @Tcohle. I bought the most expensive WILEY package and then switched over to NINJA. I continued to use the WILEY flashcards, but other than for REG or BEC, I didn't even watch the videos or read the books. NINJA worked a lot better for me.

Damnit I don't want to spend anymore money on this… -_-

We'll see how it goes. I'll use the book + MCQs & Sims. Thanks for your input everybody.
