    Hello, new to the forum!

I am going to begin studying for the CPA in January and hopefully sit for either REG or FAR in April. I would like to complete all 4 parts before the 2017 exam change. Right now Wiley is $400 off for the platinum. Now, here is the thing. I have all of the 2014 Becker Video Lectures, 2013 Becker Textbooks and I just purchased the Wiley Test Bank off Amazon for $180 ( GREAT DEAL may still be on there if anyone is interested). I am trying to decide if I need to buy the entire Wiley Package or if I should just buy a few extra materials and try to keep this under $1,000.

BTW I graduated in 2008. I work in Audit, and honestly I have forgot so many things from what I learned in school. In fact I took a lot of easier professors throughout my college life, and I think it will hurt me. So, let’s just say I am going to have to teach myself all of these concepts completely over. This makes me want a good video lecture, something to show me how t work out the problems and easier to understand. Please any insight would be helpful.

Everyone is different, but the biggest lesson I have learned for me, is that I shouldn't have invested in a full review course. I personally would have been better of with a section at a time. Despite the reviews out there, you often don't know what is going to work for you until you have dealt with an exam or 2. Then you are stuck with money potentially wasted and more money you need to spend when you realize what you invested in might not be the best thing for you for a given test.

Dont feel pressured to buy it because of the sale. Wiley always has sales. Wish I knew that when I rushed into buying the platinum (which i find extremely unhelpful).

Yea Don't feel pressured to buy it b/c of the “20% discount.” Its nice b/c they are only one of the courses that give a good discount. I first bought cpaexcel and personally for me it just did not work for me. I ended up shelling out more money for roger. The only reason I went with cpaexcel is b/c they offered me 20% off, 1 year subscription to testbank (I think u can still get it w/ the https://www.another71.com/cpa-exam-forum/topic/cpa-review-course-discounts-promotions/ site promo code), and unlimited updates. After failing miserable I ended up starting anew w/ roger. But I know a lot of people that did pass w/ cpaexcel. So its really up to the user. Personally I liked Roger b/c he teaches all 4 sections while cpaexcel had mulitple professors and some are really dull.

wileycpaexcel course isnt that great; their “course outline book” is extremely brief/thin outline because its catered to people who need a brief review and topic to MCQ isnt structured well. youre better off buying becker's books and cheap testbanks
