    Wiley Question –

Anyone else find it funny when there’s like a 20 minute video with like 4 or 5 major points/ example, and you get 4 review questions, but then when there’s a 6 minute video with 1 concept, there’s like 15 questions?! I rely on flagged questions for my final week review so I don’t care, but I have to laugh sometimes. Like wtf are you going to ask me

I agree! I also noticed that sometimes they will say a lesson will take 20 minutes, but then the video is 15 minutes long (which usually ends up taking me about twice as long since I keep pausing it to take notes). Then another lesson will say it's going to take 45 minutes to complete but the video is only 7 minutes.

That's what I hated most about Wiley. I mostly just use it now for problem areas and the test bank.

I like how they put MCQs in a lesson assessment that belong in the following lesson and leave you scratching your head because you don't remember studying that material in the assignment.

I hope Wiley reads this. You guys suck.

I like how the textbooks are riddled with typos, punctuation and formatting errors.

Their editor has obviously been on a sabbatical for years.

Where did these accounting authors get their Ph.D.'s, in a cracker jack box?

If there are errors – you should email them and let them know. They can't fix it if they don't know.

Their editors are human, just like you and me.

In the NINJA Notes (BEC) … instead of “Master Budget” … someone emailed me this week and said I had “Maser” … what? How long has that been there? Yikes.

Boynextdoor – complaints are one thing … let's keep it above the belt, however.

    @ jeff @ another71.com

I did inform customer service and the people who work on the software were condescending in their response. For example, I pointed out the duplication of problems in MCQ and TBS and the response was to look at it as extra practice. Really?! It's not extra practice in a TBS because I didn't know it was a duplicate problem and I spend extra time for no reason at all. Also, WileyCPA charges thousands of dollars and it should NOT have have so many quality control issues. Its product is based on accurate information to prepare your customers for an exam. Wiley seems to have the most issues and errors than the other review courses. The best part about Wiley is the professors teaching the material.

@2bigcpa – those are legit criticisms…I was speaking more to the “they suck” type comments.
