Wiley CPA Excel – REG Exam question

My method of studying is going through these big, bulky books and answering all the MCQs and sims at the end of each chapter. I’m about halfway through the book for REG, meaning so far I’ve only covered business law and I’m about to jump into tax. Here’s my question:

These simulation questions seem very easy. Of course you have to know the material, but so far, at least in the business law portion, it’s basically just been more MCQ (hope that makes sense). Has anyone studied the Wiley CPA Excel, taken the exam, and can compare the sims in the two? Were they pretty similar or were the exam sims significantly more difficult?

I’m a little worried about it. I also have access to my roommate’s Roger exams so I’ll practice those too.

    FAR: 4/15 80
    AUD: 11/15 77
    BEC: 4/16 80
REG: 8/25/2016 so ready to be done!!!

Lost motivation for the CPA exam for a few months after FAR, but ready to finish now!

From my understanding, it is very rare to get a SIM on a business law topic. I use Wiley CPAexcel's Platinum Package for study materials. I went through about 50 SIMS while I was studying. I just took REG today. I felt like the only good practicing the SIMS did for me was get me familiar with using the AL and some of the formats the questions could be asked. I was a little worried about the difficultly of the SIMS going into the exam, but felt really good about them as I finished. REG was the first test I have taken, and going forward I plan on studying the concepts and MCQs over the SIMS, because of how many topics you could get tested on. In Wiley CPAexcel, I feel there are several SIMS that are matching or T/F type questions, which I only found useful to help understand the concepts. Hope that helps.

Whats the “AL”? Sorry I haven't gotten through all of it. Thanks for your advice, it'll come in handy.

AL = “Authoritative Literature” It's the research tab with the Internal Revenue Code. I was really glad I had gotten familiar with how to search for specific things using the search function, as it seems almost necessary to perform well on the SIMS.
