How is it going. I am new to the Another 71 forum. I failed audit with a 71 in May, so now unfortunately i have to take it agian in July with the new clarity project and what not. Does the 2013 Wiley Audit book contain the changes for the 2013 exam? The only reason I ask is because a reviewer on Amazon.com said it doesn’t, and I was wondering if someone on this forum could maybe help me out. Thank you.

Welcome! I don't have that book, but if it is a 2013 book, it should have the clarified standards in it since the standards were already published when the book was written. Also, those standards went into effect last year

My 2013 labeled book has both the old standards and the new ones. Module 2 completely omits the old format and dives right into the new calrity standards. Still not sure if I should study both.

FAR - Bad Fail '11, Fail '12, Fail '13, PASS It's a miracle!
AUD - Fail, PASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BEC - PASS!!!!!!!!
REG - PASS!!!!!!!! And I'm done!

The Wiley 2013 book that I have (purchased in the beginning of the year; not sure if they changed it) contains a separate reporting section (Module 5) and kind of overlaps some of the terminology (i.e. some questions state “unqualified” report, others state “unmodified” report)… otherwise there are no specifics that I noted in the other modules that were geared towards the clarity standards.

Like InterFC1, I only see the changes in Module 5. You might want to check out the amazon page for the Wiley book, it gives you a preview of Module 5 (Version 2: For exam after June 30, 2013) if you want to see for yourself.

Hey is the Wiley CPA Review 2013, Auditing and Attestation book sufficient to pass the audit exam? I have also registered to Wiley Online Test Bank in Dec2012. I hope that covers the updated qs for audit.
