Hi all,
Less than 2 weeks and counting (1/18/12) and then I can look forward to never studying auditing for the cpa again.
Materials and my process:
I read through CPAEXCEL’s Auditing book
Detail read Wiley’s entire book and took notes on everything I didn’t know
I did the MC questions (all of the Wiley) for each section as I was going through the sections.
I just finished typing all of the hand written notes and re-studied thanks to my late night short hand.
Here’s where I am:
I am going through the Wiley questions for all sections, writing down notes when I have problems. I plan to go through the Wiley questions at least two more times and then any questions I keep missing, I will focus study on them. Through three sections I am averaging 82% plus across all questions.
As time allows, I am going to do the CPAExcel questions and will likely do them at least twice over. Again focusing on the questions I miss.
I just don’t like the CPAExcel format. I hate having to dodge in and out of sections to find the MC questions….I just want to go through every question they have one after another after another. There is something intrinsic in my being that feels like doing the questions on the computer is passive studying. There’s something in me that likes to be able to underline parts of the questions, etc.
Here’s my question:
Has anyone passed Auditing using just the Wiley book? p.s. I bought the Ninja notes and will use them as well.
