    Wiley Question –

It seems like they totally dropped the ball on this. Once I started using WTB I saw that there were partnership accounting questions and I opened up my old gleim book from college and they had some too. Is this a lightly tested topic and that’s why they left it out?

    BEC - 84, 4/6/13
    AUD - 77, 5/28/13
    REG - 83, 4/12/14
    FAR - 83, 10/3/13

    Ethics - 90% 4/24/13

Oh. Sorry. If there aren't that many MCQs in Wiley TB then just make sure you know the basics.

    FAR: 81 (May 2013)
    BEC: 81 (July 2013)
    REG: 83 (August 2013)
    AUD: 82 (November 2013)
    California CPA since 1/30/14

That makes sense. I thought I just couldn't remember it from my materials. I would just know the accounting for adding a partner and the resulting equity interests (goodwill and bonus method). The Wiley questions and Jeff's Ninja notes prepared me well for these types of questions.

Had to bring this thread back from the dead because I'm experiencing it right now. Why in the world would CPAExcel completely leave this topic out? So strange.

    BEC 7/12/13 - 84
    AUD 8/31/13 - 86
    REG 4/11/14 - 84
    FAR 5/30/14 - 88

    Licensed AZ CPA - 10/2014

This question was asked to the support staff at CPAExcel. Their answer is that the material is covered in the REG section so it is not covered in FAR. They suggest that you refer to the REG review/questions for partnership accounting.

If you know the material in the Ninja notes you should be fine.

    AUD - 76!
    REG - 66, 78!
    BEC - 69, 69, 75!
    FAR - 70, 73, 79!
    Ethics Test - 98!

What a ridiculous response from CPAExcel. If they're going to be too lazy to provide FAR-related materials on partnership accounting, the least they could do is make certain that it's clearly indicated that their paying customers need to look the material up in another section.
