Using Wiley for AUD – strangely not feeling prepared?

I’ve been using Wiley to prepare for AUD, and it’s strange, but I don’t feel that good about it – like I’m missing something. I’m scoring in the 80%+ range on my first time going through MCQ. I’m taking time to look up answers though.

Anyone else use Wiley for AUD with success? Or maybe without success?

Used Wiley for attempt 1 without success, but very close [73].

Added Ninja Notes/Audio for attempt 2 and was very successful [97].

Wiley will suffice if you really “get” the concepts and understand the ins and outs of the main topics.

And congrats on your first passing score!!!!

Thanks, MCLKT! I love Ninja combo and it definitely helped me with FAR.

I guess that may be my problem. So far, I don't feel like I am really getting some of the concepts.

I've started working the Ninja combo this week along with MCQ's, so I'm hoping that will help things come together. It certainly seemed to help you, a 97! Way to blow it out of the water!

@10key @MCLKT Im having trouble with Wiley when doing the Practice Sessions because when i get the question right i only see the explanation of the answer i choose no why the other three are incorrect. Is there any way or setting where i can see a more complete explanation of the answers?

@ljrpr – The answer given is the only information about right and wrong answers that I am aware of.

You can click on the first two gray boxes in the top right hand area. One looks like a lightbulb, and the other a notebook. This gives you a hint and additional information about the question. You can turn the explanations on and off by using the gray box with the exclamation point in it.

This has happened for me but only sometimes. All depends on the question. But also sometimes in the right answer explanation it also goes into why the others are not correct. I'm also studying with Wiley & NINJA.

@10key Thank you very useful info!

@littlenumberrobot I see we are using the same prep materials. Are you studying with the ninja approach or the roger method doing mcqs as you go?

@ljrpr I left Roger in my signature because I am using his book for referencing. My USB course expired over a year ago! Mostly doing NINJA notes, audio and lots of Wiley. The Sims were what got me last take. I did great on MCQ, so this time around my goal for my review week to review the sims more.

You can't just use Wiley Testbank to study…it's only a supplement…

    AUD- 97 1x
    REG- 81 1x
    BEC- 79 1x
    FAR- 88 1x

    DONE!

If you click on the incorrect answers, each one will give you an explanation of why it is incorrect. It's a lot of clicking. And often times the information isn't very helpful. I use the book reference at the top that 10Key mentioned.

Practice the sims. They are very key. You have to be familiar with the Authoritative Literature. You can use it for all sims on exam day, not just the research sim.

I am using Wiley book and Wiley test bank. Only 5 days until the exam, getting sooooo stressed out since I don't feel good about the material. I am seriously going try something new if I don't pass. I felt like I wasted my time on the entire book if I don't pass.

I'm studying for AUD and have my exam tomorrow morning. This is my second attempt. Someone mentioned the website cpareviewforfree in a post a few days ago, and I've been using it this week and it's really been helpful for me. I've been studying with Wiley and Yaeger, so the Wiley MCQ's were all I had. It's been really nice to see MCQ's written a different way and from a different perspective. It's been like the icing on my studying cake.

When I was studying for FAR, I read conflicting thoughts about cpareivewforfree's usefulness, and so I didn't use it. I'm still hesitant to try it out, but I may jump over there if I have extra time to see what its about.

@MCLKT – thank you for mentioning that you can click on the wrong answers in Wiley TB to see the explanation.

For what its worth, Wiley MCQ's dont really compare to the actual test.. Wiley MCQ's are harder than the actual exam, so you goal is to understand the concept as best as possible. Also I would focus on Wiley Simulations
