Ok so I purchase the Wiley test bank for BEC and I have been doing 20 question “pop quizzes”, but I am wondering how you guys study with this test bank? Do you go through all the questions first then do 20 question pop quizzes?

I would spend most of your time in practice mode. At most, do 10 mcqs in a pop quiz because you don't get that instant feedback/learning.

Well, I'll answer this one then 🙂

I study with the test bank, and use the practice mode and do a full exam. Practice the sims. Or for BEC just practice writing a short letter.

After about 20-25 full blown exams, I am ready to take on the real thing.

Remember the following very important point:

Eventually you will see the questions again, so don't memorize the answer. Just remember WHY the answer is correct and why the other 3 were not. Don't blow this important point off or else you'll just wind up memorizing questions and failing the real exam.

@Jeff – so do all the questions in practice mode? or do 20 MCQ's at a time? I like the practice mode because I get the instant feedback but is there a way to actually “score” the practice mode? because once I click on the right answer even if I answered incorrectly the first time it counts it as right… that's why I went to pop quizzes ha!

Thanks @bobkorz for the advice – no worries I'm definitely trying to understand why I got the question wrong. Although I know how easy it is to just memorize answers!

I just tried the 2012 Wiley test bank and it's absolutely horrid.

Sorry… I really loved the 2011 product, I'm going to be sad to see it go.

I am a big fan of WIley Online Test Bank, I've used it for all four sections.

I normally take the full tests, default settings. By the time I get around 20 tests (yes, twenty!) the scores I'm getting are in the passing zone and above. Around 25-30, I'm ready for the exam.

So, remember: Do MCQ's until you puke. Then clean up the puke. And do more MCQ's. And do the sims too, don't blow those off.

@AshleyCap There have been a few threads on the 2012 Test Bank about changes, features and bugs — I will try to post here later. Regarding the scoring Practice Sessions, the fact that the first question selected is not used for scoring (currently the last one is) is the #1 bug we are planning to fix this spring with an update.
