Silly Wiley Question

I hate using a new thread, but I couldn’t find anything on this researching the old threads. Alright, those of you using Becker and Wiley….. You know how when you unfortunately have to restudy for a section, in Becker you can “reset” your stat back to 0%. So all of your lectures and MCQs disappear?? Well in Wiley, if I delete all of the quizzes I’ve ever done for FAR, will it act like I haven’t seen those questions anymore? Meaning can I select “Questions not seen yet?” It might seem like a silly question but I really don’t know how it works! Brain fart.

If you delete all the ones you have done in Wiley it will basically start you over. So if you select “questions not seen yet,” it will give you ALL of the questions. Then the next time you do it, it will eliminate the ones you just did previously. You are basically starting over as if you have just purchased the software.

I know I've seen you post about walking out on the sims before, but was it frustration or no idea what the questions were asking? I ask this because I will be attempting FAR for the first time and am fearful of the SIMS….any advice?

@jjm1181, frustration–things that I should have known I couldn't remember, and sitting there twiddling my thumbs wasn't going to make me remember. Test anxiety. Also, things I just didn't know. I think FAR is heavily weighted, at least for SIMs. I scored weaker in every single category in MCQs (except Gov.) and in SIMs and somehow managed a 67. My theory is if you rock the MCQs and do the best you can at the SIMs, you should be golden. What are you using for materials?

@Peanut – I'm using Becker with Wiley test bank. Finishing up with becker MCQ's 2nd time through this week and plan on focusing on Wiley test bank all week before test on Monday. Also reading over Final review book, NINJA notes, flashcards and watching videos while driving. My biggest concerns are JEs, research codification and SIMS. I need it all to magically come together in one week. I'm crossing my fingers.

@jjm1181, I'm in the same place as you. I've finished going through Becker, although I'm only going through Becker MCQs once. They are all too familiar to me since I've studied for FAR before. Switching to Wiley today, sticking with Wiley the next 13 days. Did you try writing the JEs out? I did that last time, it helped but I only wrote them out once, so come test day I kept forgetting 🙁 This time I'll write out my JE sheet a few times. Good luck! When are you sitting?

I thought that Wiley automatically updated it's test bank for 2011 changes?? Becker has a big update for Relevance vs. Reliability (or Faithful Representation) for 2011, but all of the Wiley questions do not reflect the changes?? Anyone know?

How did the using Becker and supplementing it with Wiley work for you guys? I just failed FAR for the 2nd time (did worse this time too!) and I am debating whether to get buy the wiley online software so that I can practice additional questions. Any thoughts?
