    Wiley Question –

For those who have used cpaexcel, do they show you how to work problems on the video lectures? I watched the demos on Yaeger and like the way they work through problems, but I like the technology/layout of cpaexcel. I have been out of college for a while but think I may need the “teaching course” aspect of Yaeger. Trying to decide between the 2 for FAR.

I used CPAexcel for my first few attempts at the exam and was unsuccessful. Maybe because I really wasn't dedicating myself enough but maybe it was in a small way due to the way the review is set up. They emphasise that the review has bite size lessons but all those small lessions can get overwelming and feel never ending. I think I remember some walk throughs of examples but I would lean more towards Yaeger just from other positive comments I've read around here. Hope that helps! Good luck!

I loved CPAexcel, and I just recommended it to a friend a couple months ago and she sent me a thank you note since she passed when she had been failing with Roger. Both of us are very dedicated and learn well on our own, and we had prior experience with online-only learning since we both graduated from online universities.

I didn't have the videos, so I can't really give you advice on that. I used the simple self-study version and it worked well for me since I don't learn well from videos. I felt like the bite-sized lessons were the ideal setup for me. I would study a section for maybe 15-45 mintues (depending on the section) and then get to take 5-20 questions on it right away. I learned well that way.

CPAexcel has a full fledged trial version that you can easily sign up for on their website. I would definitely check it out if I were you, before spending money.
